Can you setup multiple ftp accounts to access Yahoo web hosting?
Feb 10, 2009 by boomn4x42 | Posted in Other - Yahoo! Products
I have a associate that wants me to help him with his website, I would prefer for him to not give me his user account and password, and to set me up with my own (for guarantee purposes). Can this be done with Yahoo web hosting?
I don't conjecture so, here is their FTP help page for you:
With any cpanel have such as ourselves you can setup multiple FTP accounts if you want. I mention that as I'm not a fan of Yahoo web hosting as they are not very webmaster focused and don't let you have access to a lot of tools. There are a lot of gracious hosts out there even if you don't go with us, bluehost.com, lunarpages.com, hostgator.com, any of those are solid hosts designed for people edifice sites.
Thanks, Ben

A web domain, web hosting and access to file manager? Any recommendations please?
Jul 26, 2009 by Dr_VIP | Posted in Programming & Design
Hi all, I currently pay £15.00 a month for a web pause, domain, emails and access to file manager. But I am interested to learn in cheaper options and if anyone can push me this. Small Business Yahoo is something I've used in the past but a little costly. Thanks you everyone and the best advice and web links will get the best vote! Take care, S:)
GoDaddy offers considerable deals.

questionusing access database to host web what type of web hosting account is need, which server best supports

and what programming lanfuage will be acclimatized to work with the access database?
Access databases ONLY run on Windows. You will *have* to use Windows hosting and quite a private virtual machine to have Access databases. As for programming languages, you'll need to use ASP or VB. Those will be the easiest to merge to your database. You will also need to be very careful since Windows servers have security problems that necessary to be managed.
However, I'd like to suggest an alternative. You can simply copy your data house and data to a mysql database. That will let you use less expensive hosting, since it will work on Linux. It also opens up the possiblity of using all sorts of other technologies to trade with your data - JSP, ROR, etc.
