Where is a good, free ASP.NET website hosting site?
Jul 05, 2006 by blzempire | Posted in Programming & Design
I basic a free website hosting site that supports ASP.NET (2.0) websites/applications.
I found one, but my site uses MS SQL, and that site won't suffer that in their free package. I'm either looking for a site that does, or I have a different question:
I've created a site in Visual Studio 2005 using the pattern it came with to base my site on. It uses MS SQL; is there any way to remove that dependency, or use an access database, or something? Even if someone could squeak me what the database does, it would be very helpful.
Thanks!

Web Site Hosting, Windows Server Vs Linux Which Is More safely a improved?
We currently have a hosting companionship that looks after our website, I have found out that they are meet Windows based Server. My grill is should a website provider/hosting truly be match Windows server or do fair Hosting companies run Linux. I at most desideratum tidings like the cons of having windows habitat.
I had heavily tempered to NetWare servers that would run without rebooting for 11 months, yet Windows NT4 nd 2000 servers that were less lightly manipulative needed to be rebooted every week or two, or their processes would die or dilatory due to recall leaks. NetWare and Unix servers, though awkward to set up and turn a deaf ear to, would run and run without prominence.
All websites today currently run on either a Windows web server or a Linux-based server. The mammoth mass of websites run on a Linux-based podium as Linux has a bold notorious for insurance and web server interpretation. With ideal (motionless) HTML-based websites, the web hosting tenets doesn’t along much argument. When it does as though a remainder, however, is when the website uses a forceful scripting technology such as ASP (A Microsoft based technology), or PHP / PERL (Linux based technologies). A Windows-based hosting deciphering will run a Microsoft Windows server with IIS (Internet Dirt Server), and is urgent to run an ASP / ASP.NET scripted website. A Linux-based tenets is typically acclimatized for PHP, Perl, and most other types of websites. Basically, unless your website uses ASP (pages ending in the .asp extention), Windows hosting is not neccessary.
When it comes to Web hosting, Linux has, for some beat, been generally considered the win out over OS for Web servers. It?s typically found to be the most reputable, sound and productive system and, as such, it?s commonly inured to for the trying habitat of Web and dispatch servers. Indeed,Most of the clients websites of aalpha NET runs on the Linux OS in every way because of this conventional persistence……..
