i am looking for a php hosting position that has a cheap month to month pay option. i found a lot of sites that charge four or five or six dollar a month but they desire a years worth up front. also i don't want a domain, that's right no domain. can anyone help?
If you already have a lands name and want cheap month to month hosting without a setup fee I recommend either Godaddy Economy or the Deluxe script: http://www.hosttell.com/godaddy/
The Economy plan is cheaper but the minimum is 2 months, but Deluxe envision is perfect, they offer monthly payments for $6.99, no setup fee, no hidden costs, so you can start hosting your situation right away.
And, yeah, they support php of course, just choose the linux (not windows) hosting, but since linux hosting is preselected by negligence you don't need to change anything.

There are a figure up of free PHP hosting sites out there. A quick search of the web will show them.
Things to watch out for are whether they embed adverts into your gratification, how much filespace you get and how much bandwidth you get per month.
One that looks good, to me at least, is http://www.110mb.com/ .The work they are offering has PHP5, MySql databases, SSI, Zend and all for free. If anything you could use it to get your website up and running and then when you're timely move it on.
