Cheap, temporary web hosting site? (PHP, MySQL, SSL, SMTP)?
May 08, 2008 by Thinker | Posted in Other - Computers
Hi,
I'm looking for a cheap and ephemeral web hosting site that requires no long term contract. I'll just need the area only for about a month, to upload my university project and be able to demonstrate it live. I would be needing the following:
- PHP4/5
- MySQL
- PhpMyAdmin
- SSL
- SMTP
Preferably point activation and up and running of the site, and good technical support.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Docile one, try one of the big four hosts...
1. hostgator - http://www.hostgator.com - around $10 bucks
2. lunarpages - http://www.lunarpages.com - ditto
3. uk2 - http://www.uk2.net - who i use for uk and us hosting most of all together, cheaper.
4. bluehost - http://www.bluehost.com - year contract i believe so prob not worth but good host.

What's the cheapest web hosting package that includes PHP and MySQL?
Sep 17, 2008 by Mark R | Posted in Other - Internet
The cheapest I have found so far is Lycos "Homepage S" combine at £4.99 per month excluding VAT. Can this be beaten?
Should have put this on first of all:
Disk space is (virtually) inapplicable - I doubt I'll need more than 100MB!
I only need one database.
Hostgator is dependable, provide high uptime and their support is excellent
