How to get back the domain name hosting if the hotelier company is not responding request, or out of business?

If you registered the domain name though a unusual provider, such as GoDaddy, you can simply start up with a new Web host, transfer your domain name servers to them (ask tech guy how), and all will be fine.

Otherwise, if your Web host also registered your domain name for you, you will likely need a new Web professional to help you influence how to regain control of your domain.

This is technically something you could do yourself with a whois query and some effort, but if you don't know how, the development will take much longer and be much more difficult than simply paying someone to fix it for you.

I am cogitative of getting a website to promote my business. I want to find one where I can get all services - domain name, hosting and sitebuilder so I can bod the site myself. I looked at a few but they are expensive and Godaddy.com doesn't seem to have a free sitebuilder. Can you tout a good affordable one?

DO NOT go with GoDaddy.

InMotion.com provides a vacant domain name with a hosting package. Others may do the same, but haven't come across any. DON'T use a "site builder". Learn to lex scripta 'statute law' your own so you'll have an exact mirror of your online site on your hard drive. Upload files using FTP (FileZilla is allowed).

I have a website through Yahoo Web Hosting. I will be changing the name of my partnership in May, 2009. My domain name is the current name of my company. How can I change the domain name and keep the site up and running?
