How do you find the hosting server of a website if you have the Registrar name?
Aug 19, 2008 by Jamaal E | Posted in Other - Computers
I didn't set this website up, and at the same at the same time, my client cant seem to remember the hosting server he used. I was able to find the registrar in which the domain name was registered, but no dirt about where the website is being accessed from. Sure I could rout the DNS to the new hosting company, but then he'd be paying hosting across two servers! How do I find the hosting establishment of this domain name?

How do you find what company is hosting a website?
Jul 11, 2006 by NiqGirl | Posted in Other - Internet
I'm bothersome to find the host of this website that scammed me. Does anyone know how I can find out who the hosting company is?
I already know the place owner - they are in China and don't speak english.
Try this:
1. Start by doing a Whois search to be customary the IP address of the website. e.g. mywebsite.com. http://whois.domaintools.com/
2. When the search news comes up, look under Server Data and take note of the IP address e.g. 68.142.197.64. Now, do a search for the IP give a speech to using this link: http://www.apnic.net/ (Note that this url is specific for searching IP addresses based in Asia and the Pacific tract. If the server is located in another country, you'll need to search from a different site).
If all goes to devise, you should see the company listed within the search results.
-------------------
Note: In step 1, some search results don't care for the IP address required for a variety of reasons. If this is the case with your site, scroll down to where it says 'Registrant's spokeswoman' - the name listed is usually the hosting company.
