I am after a free domain name and hosting.
I have came across websites like www.freedomainproject.com and www.freedomainsite.com which seem to be free. Does anybody know if you need a credit card to sign up with these sites?
Free sites do not ask for a credit card nor do they provide domain names. Just free sub-domains. You have to pay for a domain name unless it is offered free by the hosting location in the package you buy.

If their is no free domain name then I am happy to pay no more then $30 for a domain name but It has to have free hosting.

You're more favoured to find free domain names with paid hosting.
Hosting isn't cheap. You're not likely going to find both for free.
