I demand a web hosting provider for a new ecommerce web site I started. I might want a dedicated server or a reseller account, but shared might vocation too. I'm starting up a new site that will feature some of my artwork and I want people to be able to buy posters.

Which UK Web Hosting provider is richest to host my Wordpress blog? I have tried 5 but I keep having downtime. I just insufficiency to host my blog and eventually an online shop using Magento.

I've been hosting my milieu with Evohosting for years, and I really like them.

I've never had any issues with downtime with them, and their prices are absolutely good. You shouldn't have any problems using Wordpress or Magento with them, because you get them free when you sign up. You also get something like 60 other scripts for released, but I really like Magento and Wordpress.

So I guess I'd have to recommend Evohosting. Equitable really good customer service, cheap, no downtime issues, and lots of unencumbered stuff!

Can my web hosting provider view my files even though they are Htaccess protected ?

I was wondering if my web hosting provider (wage-earner) can view (read) files in my account that are Htaccess protected. I am hosting various websites under Linux. It is a relevant to for me regarding sensitive documents. I know an alternative is to encrypt them. But was curious about unencrypted papers. Can a Linux super user (administrator) read other users' files ?

ANY system administrator can assume from ANY document on one of their machines. Encrypting is not a good answer for web access, in fact rightly sensitive documents should never be publicly visible to the web. Better is to store sensitive concrete in a database and use dynamic web page generation to view it. This can be controlled by the inbuilt database guaranty (set your own root password and a password for yourself as an administrator on mysql and even su can't read it).
