Good or bad stories about 1 and 1 Internet web hosting service provider?

Do you have any Sunday or bad experience with 1 And 1 web hosting service?

I tried them out fleetingly a few years ago and found the following problems then:

1. If you have a .com domain, the nameservers for 1&1 are not in the UK and so you are unlikely to find yourself in the Google UK peculiar to search results.

2. They tagged mail rather than filtered it, meaning that if you download despatch on your phone, you still have to pay to download the spam.

3. You couldn't pay by direct debit.

4. The quality of their English was in Queer Street (customer support)

5. Leaving the service was a loathsome and difficult process.

I switched to www.xcalibre.co.uk and have no complaints.

How can I have Internet service and hosting having the technology in my own home for low price?

I Shortage to be my own ISP and host from my place.

Depends on what you ruminate on a "low price". In order to be an ISP you needs to provide Internet access via some method to clients. Most of the time this starts out as a modem bank but it could be DSL, cable, partial T1, Frame relay. What ever you passion. Those line would then have to run to the house where servers are hosted. You will also need a firewall and a couple of routers. These to segment out the servers. Let alone the particulars that you will need to purchase a range of public IP addresses. These will then need to be assigned to your firewall and clients.

First and main, if you are in the USA, you will need to ensure that your property is zoned properly for housing all of this equipment, the singular fire suppression and running a business.

Being an ISP is not an easy nor inexpensive task!
