I am not accomplished with joomla but I want to use to make a website. My only trouble right now is getting it installed on Yahoo hosting I don't be familiar with what to do.
Can anyone direct me to a site or forum for this or tell me how do it? Greatly appreciated, thank you.
Yes you can connect joomla on yahoo hosting.
Download a latest copy of joomla from www.joomla.org
unpack the files and upload it to yahoo hosting server.
Run your website whatver your territory name is.
Installation process will be started.
You will need to create a database from yahoo hosting mastery panel.

I have 1and1 hosting household plan and need to know how to setup joomla and run it on the server!
Harmonious easy
1. Log in to your hosting control panel using your username and password
http://admin.1and1.com
2. The mains screen will pop up. Under Website Applications will be a link "Click'n'Build"
click it
3. When that bellhop loads, click the "To Applications" button
4. Scroll down to Joomla and click initiate
5. click "I agree" to the licence then click next
6. Then fill in your domain details, and narcotic addict details you want.
7. Enjoy.

I installed on the neighbourhood pub computer CMS-Joomla to develop my website more readily. Now it is heyday to upload my website to the hosting server, but I have a tough nut to crack with the permissions of the files and directories because I set them in days gone by at 777. My cast doubt is there a way to mutation the permissions for all directories at 755 and files at 644?
