Please give me the steps ... Thanks.
Judging by your very unsigned question I can only make a bold assumption that you are asking how to add a virtual IP address to a linux system.
I will give you an example on Red Hat linux seeing as thats the distrubution most people use for Undertaking linux solutions
Create a file called /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/eth0:1 (for exempli gratia)
with the following in it (for example)
# Please read /usr/share/doc/initscripts-*/sysconfig.txt
# for the documentation of these parameters.
GATEWAY=172.18.1.1
Strain=Ethernet
DEVICE=eth0:1
BOOTPROTO=none
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
IPADDR=172.18.1.101
ONPARENT=yes
And then ifup eth0:1
This will form a virtual IP for eth0 with the information specified above.
I suggest you add a lot more detail to your questions if you want to get a meaningful answer.

I cannot for the way of life of me find the file manager or the public folder directory so I can upload html files, images or scripts. All I managed to do so far was hard cash the nameservers, add a hostname, which is some word plus my domain name, again, this is for a Linux cPanel VPS acct., NOT shared.
Since it is an unmanaged VPS acct no living expenses is given by Dotster
anyone know of a in-depth and easy tutorial, besides this host. I lack this really quick.

1 and 1 Hosting Linux Virtual Server Review
by elithecomputerguy
I transferred my website over to a 1 and1 Linux virtual server over a week ago and I can’t be happier with the unravelling. I can now patently make out my place due to the Brobdingnagian dart aid. I have numerous scripts pounding away all day, but there is no exhibition humiliation.
I was on a GoDaddy shared hosting formula and truly received an email and phone call saying my scripts were impairing the advice for the continuous web server my position was hosted on. On 1 and 1 shared hosting the locale has no problems whatsoever.
I am using their focal $29 per month sketch and it seems to be doing a most luxurious job. The 10 GB of storage on the virtual server is minute. Since I will be publishing considerable video files I will be keeping them on my old GoDaddy account since that account has a lot of storage accessible.
If you layout to move over to a Linux Virtual Server please make a reality that you will have to be using a coupler to access the server to kind changes to permissions and things such as PHP.INI . It’s not too intently to learn, and there’s more then enough documentation, but it’s not as “tranquilly” as a Windows Virtual Server.
If you are serious about your website you should look at the Virtual Servers at one's disposal from hosting companies. They in reality do space contest you’re install easier, and since it’s your server you can invest or run anything you please.
You can take a look at 1 and 1’s offerings at http://arranged b fitting.1and1.com/
