Is it better to resell hosting or have clients host their own site?
Oct 09, 2008 by John Mason | Posted in Programming & Design
I am about to start a web shape company which extends services to small/medium firms. I am not sure if I should resell the hosting to my trade or build the site and allow the company to manage the hosting themselves.
You could do either. I would advance you use http://www.hostamina.com as they are developers as well as web hosts and can give you a custom plan to suit your needs or they will give you a commission for every shopper you send them. You can discuss your needs with them either way - just send them an email.

I just became a reseller with makemoneysellingdomainnames to resell web hosting and domain names?
Dec 24, 2007 by recommendedattorney | Posted in Other - Advertising & Marketing
I barely became a reseller with makemoneysellingdomainnames to resell web hosting and domain names. I joined because I build a decent amount of websites for my own use. I was wondering why a lot of webmasters and IT people aren't in the reseller proprietorship. I drive a taxi and talk with a lot of IT people and almost none of them take advantage of controlling the cost for web hosting. Isn't this odd? Any comments welcome.
I improvise you're wrong when you write, "I was wondering why a lot of webmasters and IT people aren't in the reseller vocation."
In fact, an awful lot of people, including webmasters, IT professionals, and others, are in the hosting and speciality reselling business. There are certainly at least "tens of thousands," and peradventure many hundreds of thousands of "web-hosting" businesses out there, most run by people who also do web development toil.
Some professionals do this "surreptitiously," creating an apparently-separate callers which they use to register and host client sites. Many do it openly, telling their clients that they own the hosting or registration public limited company.
Those professionals who do NOT resell web-hosting or domain-registration services frequently believe that their sole weight should be based on their time, not on reselling services at potentially inflated prices.
In additionally, some professionals choose not to resell anything other than their own services, because they recognize that over time, the level of service at most hosting and registration companies can hard cash.
Over the past 12 years, I've hosted my own and clients' web sites on several dozen numerous servers (including dedicated servers, colocated servers, and many shared servers), and registered domains with many separate registrars. Recently, I consolidated all my registrations to a single registrar, and I also consolidated all hosting to a apart provider, but it's likely that I'll move some or all of this within 12 months.

Resell Hosting?
Jul 06, 2006 by Joe Brat | Posted in Other - Internet
I am looking for a install with a set price on unlimited space and unlimited bandwich and unlimited domains for a windows apparatus control panel.
I have looked into hosting resale, and nobody offers boundless space/bandwidth/domains. Many offer quite a bit of space and bandwidth, but domains set someone back money to register, and as such nobody can afford to offer unlimited domains.
I ended up edifice my own webhosting server, so I can do whatever I darn well please.
