Does Yahoo small business web hosting allow add-on domains?
May 14, 2009 by ponderosa_74 | Posted in Other - Yahoo! Products
I have a yahoo small business web hosting account and would like to set up an additional website. Can I do that on my account with an add-on dominion? Do I have to set up an entirely new web hosting account for this other website?
I know other web hosts allow additional sites on one hosting account. Does Yahoo Small business web hosting?
that is depend on your in circulation plan. if you plan allow more than 1 domain, you will be able to do so. if not, you will have to either upgrade your plan or communicate up a new plan.
the best way is to drop the customer support an email, and they will be able to get back to you.

What version of PHP does yahoo use for its small business web site hosting?
Jan 24, 2009 by kendawson222 | Posted in Other - Yahoo! Products
it says on their adds that they use PHP v4 but there is no way of contacting them to ask if they have upgraded to PHP v5. Amiable of an important thing to know if you are thinking about hosting with them. Kinda bad business to not have a way for potential customers to touch you and ask you questions about the service you provide. I would expect better from Yahoo, they have been on the internet for a while. you would deliberate on that they would know that customer service is first.
Anyway. What version of PHP do they use for their web hosting small business account???!!?
You got it power. What kind of business do not allow us to contact them, even for presale... can you imagine how the customer bear would be like? Why bother looking for the PHP version if they don't bother letting us the peace of positive to talk to them.
Well, Yahoo should stick to what they do best, doing search engine make a pig. I made the mistake to register a domain with them too. I would advise you not to go with them.
If you need a tip for choosing a web hosting to use, I suggest you do the following:
1. Go to the webhost criticize sites such as webhostingjury, hostingsthatsuck.com or webhostinggeeks and list down about 3 common top hosting companies.
2. Next, for each web hosting X, do a “X sucks” search on Google. Conclude from some complaints and see if you may encounter the same problems like them. Some of the complaints may relate to certain groups of users only such as VPS, dedicated server users or resellers. So you may not be stiff if you are not from these categories.
3. Eliminate those hostings you feel uncomfortable with, and look for the best dicker hosting for your money.
Some good webhosts to consider are Fatcow, InMotion and Webfaction.
Correct luck.
