I bought a years value web hosting from Bluehost and since then have given up on the site I wanted to host. Is there anything productive or worthwhile to do with this hosting? Perchance there is something I can even do to help make my money back?

Sound, maybe. The bigger question is will YOUR host allow it? Unless you host the space on servers YOU own, you all things considered can't do this.
