Web hosting FAQ

good reliable uk reseller host?

Hi,
Can anyone stand up for a good, reliable uk reseller web host?

Can I use a .com which has been registered already as a .co.uk

I have a plight concerning a .com domain I bought a month ago. For now let's call it somethinginternet.com. I was planning to start my own poor reseller hosting/domain business only to find that such a business already exists at somethinginternet.co.uk.

I am really pleased with my sphere, and had no idea at all that the name was in use until after I bought it. I find it extremely odd that a seemingly respectable UK hosting company (I estimate they take home at least 500 hits a day), would not bother to register their .com name.

Am I entitled to go ahead and use it anyway - or would I have legal issues to conduct oneself treat with if I did so?

If it would be unwise to proceed with using the domain, what would be my other options?

yes, you can. As elongated as no one has taken that name yet in .com

Website Hosted in USA, but viewed in UK - problems?

I've set up a reseller hosting account with Resellerzoom.com - the servers which my websites are hosted on are in the USA.

I current in the UK, and occasionally my websites go down and are unavaliable. Resellerzoom claim it's not their servers, and their servers are fully competition. Could this be a problem with the UK network accessing the USA Servers? Are there any solutions?
Is it better to go with a reseller company in the UK, if so does anyone understand a decent reseller company with Failover technology?

Thanks!
