Which web hosting bandwidth and disk space opinion is right for me?
Feb 17, 2009 by Endless_Nameless | Posted in Programming & Design
I already have a web hosting situate recommended by a tech-savvy friend, and at this point I just need to recognize what kind of setup works best.
The packages offered are as follows:
Budget- 500MB disk, 10GB/m bandwidth
Principal- 1GB, 20GB
Advanced- 2GB, 50GB
Business- 5GB, 100GB
Enterprise- 10GB, 200GB
I determine to use the site for blogging, hosting my portfolio, maybe a twitter feed, images, and such. I don't look for a lot of traffic, as the site is for personal/networking/business purposes. I imagine that I don't lack a lot of disk space or bandwidth for this, but what is the minimum package required to satisfy my needs?
Thanks in move.
Start with the budget arrangement. Other than images, you don't need much disk space. If you find that you need more space, you can expand the envisage later. (Just write the site, gather up the images and see how much expanse you need. Blogging is saved in the database, so you won't need much disk space added when you add entries.)

Why does shared web hosting offer unlimited bandwidth but dedicated servers or VPS hosting does not?
Sep 07, 2009 by Abysmal | Posted in Other - Computers
Hardly curious why you don't get unlimited data transfer if you're paying A LOT more for a dedicated server or understood private server.
shared hosting providers chiefly have their servers on an unmetered line, which will be shared among their many clients. You could get an unmetered line for your dedicated/VPS, but it would outlay you a real lot.
