All this website horse feathers is confusing, do they go hand in hand?
what should i get & what size if im just doing a small establishment site were people can order products online?
That web apply oneself to is called domain name. It can be a .com for commercial sites, .gov for government, .org for organizations, .net and several others
You get your domain name from companies such as GoDaddy.com by first checking in if the domain is elbow, which can be anywhere from $6.99 per year to $45 or more per year
If the domain is available, you now create a website using that domain name as the oration. Once you have the website done, you contact a web hosting company so they can put your website on the Web using your domain name as address. Web hosting can be anywhere from $3.99 per month to as much as $2000+ for dedicated web hosting

I just became a reseller with makemoneysellingdomainnames to resell web hosting and domain names?
Dec 24, 2007 by recommendedattorney | Posted in Other - Advertising & Marketing
I objective became a reseller with makemoneysellingdomainnames to resell web hosting and domain names. I joined because I build a decent amount of websites for my own use. I was wondering why a lot of webmasters and IT people aren't in the reseller issue. I drive a taxi and talk with a lot of IT people and almost none of them take advantage of controlling the cost for web hosting. Isn't this unheard-of? Any comments welcome.
I deem you're wrong when you write, "I was wondering why a lot of webmasters and IT people aren't in the reseller profession."
In fact, an awful lot of people, including webmasters, IT professionals, and others, are in the hosting and domain reselling obligation. There are certainly at least "tens of thousands," and possibly many hundreds of thousands of "web-hosting" businesses out there, most run by people who also do web improvement work.
Some professionals do this "surreptitiously," creating an apparently-independent company which they use to register and host client sites. Many do it openly, telling their clients that they own the hosting or registration visitors.
Those professionals who do NOT resell web-hosting or domain-registration services frequently believe that their sole bid should be based on their time, not on reselling services at potentially inflated prices.
In supplement, some professionals choose not to resell anything other than their own services, because they recognize that over time, the level of use at most hosting and registration companies can change.
Over the past 12 years, I've hosted my own and clients' web sites on several dozen contrastive servers (including dedicated servers, colocated servers, and many shared servers), and registered domains with many abundant registrars. Recently, I consolidated all my registrations to a single registrar, and I also consolidated all hosting to a unwed provider, but it's likely that I'll move some or all of this within 12 months.
