Can a single web hosting account host multiple websites?

My web hosting representation says it supports 5 add-on domains, this means I can host 5 additional websites?

Depends on how the hosting package is setup.

Some hosting plans only appropriate one domain. (meaning a single domain points to the hosting)

Some allow add-on domains, where you can have two domains pointing to the same locale (two separate domains point to the same physical page)

Some also allow add on sites, where you can cite a sub directory for another site hosted in the same space (two separate domains point to two from beginning to end separate web pages, but that are hosted in teh same physical space)

Your best bet is to email or call the hosting public limited company and ask.

Which UK Web Hosting provider is excellent to host my Wordpress blog? I have tried 5 but I keep having downtime. I just want to host my blog and in due course an online shop using Magento.

I've been hosting my install with Evohosting for years, and I really like them.

I've never had any issues with downtime with them, and their prices are actually good. You shouldn't have any problems using Wordpress or Magento with them, because you get them free when you put under contract up. You also get something like 60 other scripts for free, but I really like Magento and Wordpress.

So I guesswork I'd have to recommend Evohosting. Just really good customer service, for peanuts, no downtime issues, and lots of free stuff!
