Looking for web hosted shopping cart solution with recurring bill payment feature for sale of digital products

I have a patron who wants his website visitors to pay for his articles. For example, a years payment would permit you access to his premium articles.
I need a solution where it supports recurring underwriting payment
So I'm looking for a product that allows client to sell his digital artefact (articles) and collect payment for a year before he has to collect payment again for the next year.
Any suggestions for this?
I pick a Web 2.0 solution not so much for the sake of the name of 2.0 but just because there have been some really cost paraphernalia 2.0 tools out there in the ecommerce world that has come along. But whatever works is also fine with me as well.

I had Miva shopping cart but my web host closed. Any ecommerce carts that don’t require special hosting?

I have a specilty oils and candles web locality. I was hosting with a local provider who had Miva cart included with the web hosting plan. The webhost closed, went out of proprietorship with out notice. Luckily I have my domain but I lost everything else with my web site because it was all on the server. I am very frustrated and would like to restart my ecommerce web position, but I donot want to be held hostage by a web host ever again. I am looking for a ecommerce cart I can run on my own servers or announcer anywhere with no strings attached. Frustrated!!!

I been asking for a superiority web host and shopping cart on this for a while. Most of the people who answered are working for web host company. I need true customers to answer my question.
I'm looking for a easy to use web host and easy systematize shopping cart. No ticket request crap all the time. and complete turtorial for me to understand.
