Can I rent out some of my web hosting space if I don't have a reseller account?

I'd like to extend my clients web space to go with their web page as a way to raise a little more money for myself and to be able to pay off my yearly bill. Is this proper?
Statutory, maybe. The bigger question is will YOUR host allow it? Unless you host the space on servers YOU own, you to all intents can't do this.

Hello, Its not the excellent of ideas. But if you know this person personally go for it.
If not.
Buy some hosting from a provider such as smallpricehost.com
$3 a month wont dilate your budget.

What can I do with unused web space/hosting?
Oct 13, 2008 by Aphelion | Posted in Other - Internet
I bought a years usefulness web hosting from Bluehost and since then have given up on the site I wanted to host. Is there anything productive or worthwhile to do with this hosting? Maybe there is something I can even do to resist make my money back?
Depending on the area name and the traffic you had visiting, you may want to look at sedo.com to park the domain and leave behind about the host. When visitors go to your domain name they land on sedo.com's page for your domain. If they click on one of the links/adds you net $. Not much unless it's a domain name with higher traffic volume. There's also a chance or options to push the domain name on sedo.com.
Another option is to install a blog and post google ads for visitors to click as they participate. It would have to be engrossing and attract visitors, but the revenue generated from ad clicks may add up over time to cover some of the army expense.
One last option is to check with your host. They may refund the unused portion of your payment.
