Heya Please admit em what the difference is between linux web hosting and windows web hosting. I made my site by dreamweaver does that affect either of the 2 i should choose please mound me thanx!

Windows and Linux often use two unique web server applications. Windows sites use the Windows IIS server, while nearly all Linux sites use Apache.

What are the pros and cons of linux and windows web hosting.

Linux: much more power on much less computer. more simpatico toward sharing the machine with other purposes (email server, news server, ftp server, conversation server, etc). more secure. more stable

Windows: more menu driven. easier for multiple people to administrate. more routine for users if you give user accounts on the system

Which is well-advised for performance and security? I don't know anything about PHP, website design, database, etc. I will be using a die design from MS Publisher. What would you recommend?
