Web hosting FAQ

Anyone still using the old Yahoo Website Services for hosting?

I am still stuck on the Yahoo Website Services to compere my domain name and website and I have had so many problems lately. Does anyone else still use this old service? Emails to me are often bouncing back to people with errors or show up anywhere from hours to days later. I have sent multiple emails to client care without any response. Their network status page hasn't been updated since Dec 2005! I about the service is on autopilot. I want to give up and change hosting services but I can't get a response from the contacts in my whois listing so I can remove the domain ownership. Seems like no one is home. Anyone else have these problems? How can I get in touch with a human at Yahoo to mitigate me?

I have never familiar Yahoo but doing a quick search under help I found this article that tells you how to shift your name server:

http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/domains/do mainfeatures/advanceddns/advanceddns-12. html

Once you do get it figured out you should in reality switch hosts.
I use godaddy to register all my domain names and for my hosting i use :

Good Luck!

I want to start an online business, are the free website hosting services good or is it beter to pay and wher

where do I find the Nautical starboard properly host

Very few of the disencumber hosts are good for online businesses, because they only give you a sub domain name. There is one exception in my opinion though, that is www.bravenet.com You get permitted hosting and extras, but they give you an option of purchasing a domain name. The last time I checked it was $8.95/ year. I have had nothing but reliable experiences with Bravenet. You can pay for hosting with them too and get an even better options. However, I do not know the price for it. So do your own research, as planning is a very effective stage in starting any kind of business.
