Ummm this is not a honest question. If you have a raw windows 2003 box exposed to the internet you are asking for trouble. My very serious advice is get some training.
For experimentation purposes you can help Web and FTP on a 2003 box by going to control panel then Add Remove Windows Components. I am doing this from reminiscence if I am correct you choose application server and then choose to install IIS. Look in the sub-components of IIS to secure that FTP server is enabled.
I stress again there is a lot to know about security on the internet, so please do not attach this box right away to the net.

Alright, so basically i have a effective dedicated server from a Database. It has windows 2003. Obviously it has a firewall built onto there database etc, but they said i Could fit "software" for a firewall aswell.. which I need to stop some exploits on some qualities I Host, Everytime, It dosent work, like the firewall turns on for a sec than turns off... it's like it locks me out I Tried BlackIce, But i extremely much need a complete tutortial on how to go about installing somthing like this on a dedicated server, The Database said they couldent succour since there not the software developers.

I am looking for a safe web hosing contropl panel for a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise edition dedicated.
I would be inclined to use apache, php and mysql as the hosting. (WAMP) and good free solutions? or, possibly low expense?
any info would be greatly appreciated.
