Hosting a worldwide .com web in Canada. Is it the same as in the US?

I found an affordable hosting overhaul in Canada -dedicated server ; I am planning to host my web site with them. My web site is for all countries - English speaking countries.

My reference to, now, is will this affect my web site SEO and make it like Canadian web site.

Dedicated tcp/ip line between US&Canada?

I sine qua non a dedicated line between Florida and Montreal (Canada) to do databases sync. I'm planning a T1 but something slightly smaller may also exertion.I would like to know what would be the monthly cost for the line (I guess data is charged strikingly per mb\gb right ?), and who can do this.

To be more detailled, I don't need specifically a T1, but something around 1Mbps , reserved and dedicated, in order to do some (large) database synchronization between 2 sets of servers, one in a colo in Fl, and the other in Montreal.

Be scrupulous of your wording when you ask for the line. If you ask for a T1 you will get a 1.544 Mbps TDM connection, and unless you have the equipment and the recall how to connect to it, you will have serious problems with the connection.
You indicate that you want a TCP/IP connection, if you need to run Ethernet, then you will prerequisite to indicate that. If you can get by with ATM, that may be your best bet, or even MPLS.
Do not expect to have the connection put into service quickly, devise on at least 30 days and maybe longer if there are problems interfacing. It will not be inexpensive either. Have in mind thousands, and you will be billed for the installation and maybe the cost to remove it as well.
So if you are getting a TDM, then you pay a monthly sell for only, as the bandwidth is exclusively yours. If you are getting Ethernet, ATM, or MPLS then you will pay a monthly rate, turn down than the dedicated, but you will also pay fore the data.
Start by contacting your Telcos in Florida and in Quebec (Allstream, Bell Canada, Rogers, Telus, this will give you a start) , and ask about costs for the bound, monthly, and cost for data, how long to install, what are your options, and if there are any hidden costs. Armed with that tidings, realize that some of it might or probably will be incorrect, unless you get it in writing. I might consider allowing half or treacherous extra their estimate to install.

Is additional dedicated/discrete graphics memory necessary to run AutoCad on a new laptop with 3 gb of RAM?

My son needs a new laptop and he will be competition Auto-Cad, a graphics and memory intensive program. He looked at a new Gateway laptop at BestBuy Canada that has 3GB of RAM, an Intel 1.83 GHz processor and it has 512MB dedicated graphics (ATI).
Inasmuch as the laptop has 3GB of RAM, would he really need the additional dedicated video memory?

a laptop is not a flattering workstation for cad period. Some cad draws (1000+ data points), can take up 1gig of ram for video
Auto cad requires a truthful engineering workstation card, that simply isn't available on most laptops. (it needs a quadro, or a firegl series business card).

you can get them on some high end dells/hp, but your going to pay a ton of money for them (3k+), at that price point. you should be looking at workstations.

Cad is not only ram/processor/graphics come clean intense. It is heavily dependent on the hard drive. The faster your disk, the faster it will put. Laptops are usually made for battery life, having a really fast harsh drive is NOT a good way to save battery. Again, this is another reason you should be looking at workstations, not laptops.

I don't fancy to sound like a downer, and he can do cad from this laptop, however it won't offer the longevity, nor the flexibility of a candidly desktop workstation class computer can offer him.
