What is the cheapest dedicated Linux server hosting case available in Chicago? I'm looking for something similar to fastservers.net, but cheaper.
The data center and servers MUST be physically located in Chicago for my purposes.

I would like to certain how to manage a dedicated linux server without paying $50 everymonth for someone else to do it for me, I want to know how to set it up from scratch

It's not Daedalian. Download Fedora Core 4 for free from http://www.redhat.com and install it on a computer. It will give you the options for what you scantiness to install. Read all the option, install what you want, but remember, you're just experimenting -- if you oblige it up you can just reinstall!

Yes, you can. You can also host the DNS servers from your domestic if you like. You're going to need plenty of bandwidth though. Standard DSL or cable will still run rather snail-like. If you have any questions about linux or setting up the apache webserver feel free to email me.
