i'm a lette&i've been down for a while. the whole all at once i been down ive tried to tell people we dont support violence. that being a juggalo doesnt show you will go out and kill people. that kinda undermines what i've been saying: we talk about mass matricide as an outlet. idolizing these people seems kinda wrong.

What's the benefit of having a dedicated/virtual hosting plan when using asp.net?

Can you use solely a regular hosting plan to make changes to a Microsoft SQL server database, or do you beggary dedicated/virtual?

You can even hosting plan.... nearly all hosting plans come with some mould of SQL database these days. The only thing I'd be careful about is to make sure it has a Microsoft SQL database (which is only na called MS SQL). Sometimes shared hosting plans also have limits on the amount of databases you can have.

But if you paucity complete control of the SQL database server (ie/ want to make changes to the settings, etc)... you'll have to get a dedicated/accepted.

For a shared server, you're sharing the database and resources with other ppl, so while you can modify the parts that pertain to your put, you are NOT given complete control. Virtual splits the server up into de discrete portions, so you would have unqualified control and same thing with dedicated (except that you get the whole server of course for dedicated).

If you're looking for a host I'd recommend http://www.liquidweb.com/?RID=vkoduru I've been with them for a year and they've been nothing but awesome. Their prices are a little higher than some other providers (lower then others)... it's mid-range in terms of prices, but the property you get is high-end so it's definitely worth it. One thing to be careful of when comparing web hosts is that it's not moral the specs of the server (hard disk space, bandwith) etc that count. THE MOST Prominent THING IS RELIABILITY AND THE SPEED OF THE CONNECTION... liquidweb is extremely dependable (I haven't had one down time yet) and they have a great speedy connection... a lot of the cheaper hosts have bad reliability records and often go down for hours, or sometimes even a whole day.

Dogster.com is a purlieus dedicated to just that kind of thing. I personally don't care for all the friend requests and other paltry things, so I don't use it anymore. You can also use something like Freewebs.com to make a free webpage about whatever you homelessness. (I made a Freewebs page for my dogs.)
