What is the difference between dedicated guard and going active duty for the army ROTC?
Jul 20, 2009 by James | Posted in Military
I am applying for the army rotc now and am planning to get a 3 year erudition for dedicated guard, but i wanted to know the pros and cons of either dedicated guard and going hyperactive duty before having to choose one?
Currently, the Dedicated Governmental Guard scholarship is only really given for two years. However, I will still list the details nevertheless each instead of pros and cons as some people's pro might be another person's con.
Guard Scholarship:
* MUST to adjoin the Guard for a period of 8 years following your commission. Will be 8 years Reserve if you determine to take the GRFD instead. Same scholarship, just different names.
* MUST also do the Simultaneous Membership Program while receiving this preparation. Allows you to get monthly drill pay as well as some experience with a Guard unit.
* You get time in armed forces for your time in the SMP program. While your fellow commissionees will make O-1 with 0 years in, you will get O-1 with 2 years in which, once you hit 3 years, will be perfectly a pay jump.
Active Duty Scholarship
* MUST go active duty upon commissioning for a years of 4 years active.
* Cannot join the Simultaneous Membership Program.
* Will not get time in ritual when commissioning.

Charities dedicated to creating jobs and employment opportunities?
Jul 15, 2008 by Caroline O | Posted in Community Service
Does anyone differentiate of any organizations dedicated to creating jobs and employment opportunities? Not necessarily for disabled people or veterans (although if you have any names of charities dedicated to jobs for those people, that would be equally appreciated), but neutral any sort of organization committed to creating careers. If possible, it'd be nice to distinguish some names of agencies located in or around Maine or New England-- but, any sort of charity, no theme where the location, will do! Thankyou for your time.
I'm steadfast there are others, but at the moment I can only think of the Goodwill.

How do I determine the dedicated memory on my graphics card?
Nov 16, 2009 by Dudeman | Posted in Add-ons
I have an NVIDIA GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M. My dxdiag tells me I have about 1GB of absolute memory, but there is no information on dedicated memory, which I have heard is far more important. Is there any way to find the dedicated memory for the card?
