Web hosting FAQ

What hosting services has the most inexpensive and reliable dedicated sql server hosting?

I have been looking for a dedicated hosting companions for my business. After doing some reasearch, so far, I think that http://www.hostingmyweb.com is the best. I found it in google. They step many great things such as free remote reboot port, optional 3ware Surprise attack Controller, optional cpanel, and Fantastico. Fantastico in my opinion is the best detail that web hosting company has to offer in terms of building websites. It comes with templates, forum, etc.

Should I install Visual Web Developer Express (VWDE) or SQL Express on my dedicated server?

Server Specs:
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Touchstone Edition
Service Pack 1

Computer: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU
2.00 GHz
2.00 GHz, 0.99 GB of RAM

I want to fix in place Dotnetnuke on IIS 6.0 to manage my internet hosting business.

Visual web developer depict is a tool used to create code of a web application like the user interface. This is something you in the main develop on your own machine and then deploy on your server. You don't install it on your server.

SQL express is a database system for storing knowledge that your database application would use. This is the one you can put on your server and use to power your web applications.

So develop the application with web developer on your private computer, install SQL express on your dedicated server, and when you are done then you can deploy your web application project on your web server to interact with SQL express.

You will have to consult your Dotnetnuke documentation to espy sure it will work with IIS 6 and SQL express editions (I don't see an immediate problem but you never know).

Security this works for you. Good luck

Can I delete MS SQL server 2005 components?

I am disquieting to free up some space on my hard drive and noticed that I have a lot of space dedicated to MS SQL Server 2005. I have no dream what this is and think perhaps it was downloaded along with an MS office trial pkg. and that I don't really need it. Can anyone explain what this is and in what cases it's okay to rub (e.g., I'm not connected to any office network, etc.). thanks.

Yes, it's not demanded unless you plan on hosting a database on your computer. Don't just delete the files/folders though - go to Start -> Guidance Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and do it from there. You may have to select Microsoft Office if it doesn't rise, and on the uninstall, you can select the component, one of which should be MS SQL server (I think it should show up separately though).

SolidWorks Community: Search speed performance

Push is enthusiastic.....but whenever you change an older system.....you assent to from users about any shortcomings it has compared to the old system.

One is search dispatch. Searching for PDFs of our drawings takes around 6-10 seconds in Push on our check-up server. There are about 70,000 PDFs being searched. In the legacy available built system it takes about 1 tick. First point the users noticed of programme naturally.

So does this search in days of yore good make up for for something that only returns around 10 files? What on the server affects search space most? This is a investigation system and the server is hardly older (2007). The thought on it is pushing 2.7gb compute operation which seems a small squiffed....most of it is SQL (1.8gb)

Its a to order possible I created. I tried creating a very modest plan with only a few search fields but the boost is the same.....no replacement.

Not reliable what all criteria affects this. Each composition has a folder and in that folder is a pdf of each modification. There are 41200 folders aggregate split underneath 10 pipeline folders.

Jason,

There are many things that will suddenness up and conservative down the search.  The search liable act itself has spot if nothing to do with hurry.

The first specialty of abuse for speeding up SQL searches is a fast processor.  Like I have mentioned in other posts, SQL is a processor HOG!  I would mention dual quad cores in the database server if you can grant it.  You and your users will conscious of it.  We virtuous upgraded our database server to dual quad cores with 12 GB of ram from a unique dual seed processor with 8GB of ram and the conversion is like nightfall and day!  It is net well spurt, credit me.  To check-up what the processor is current through, unbar the business chief and keep track of your CPU handling on the server while doing a search.  You will be surprised how the processor utilization jumps when performing searches.
