Help with godaddy virtual dedicated server php?

I recently bought a virtual dedicated server from godaddy and when i upload my php scripts to my communal html the page stays blank but when i upload html script it works good can anybody help me?

There possibly was an error in the PHP script. You need to ask the support at GoDaddy how you can access the error logs. To make sure of if PHP is working alright, upload a very simple script that definitely has no errors, like this:

I have had a GoDaddy Virtual Dedicated Server since October. I'm in over my rule on some things and GoDaddy is less than helpful. Is there anywhere I can go for help in how to do something like configure AWSTATS to show histoy? I may also be interested in changing to a several provider who can provide meaningful support. I'm not looking for someone to do it for me. I'm looking for someone to teach me.

What's the benefit of having a dedicated/virtual hosting plan when using asp.net?

Can you use solely a regular hosting plan to make changes to a Microsoft SQL server database, or do you demand dedicated/virtual?

You can common hosting plan.... nearly all hosting plans come with some type of SQL database these days. The only thing I'd be careful about is to make sure it has a Microsoft SQL database (which is only just called MS SQL). Sometimes shared hosting plans also have limits on the amount of databases you can have.

But if you covet complete control of the SQL database server (ie/ want to make changes to the settings, etc)... you'll have to get a dedicated/virtual.

For a shared server, you're sharing the database and resources with other ppl, so while you can reduce the parts that pertain to your site, you are NOT given complete control. Virtual splits the server up into de unattached portions, so you would have complete control and same thing with dedicated (except that you get the whole server of course for dedicated).
