Why cant I drag and drop a file from host to Microsoft Virtual PC?

Why cant I trail and drop a file from host to Microsoft Virtual PC?
I run Vista Home Premium on my host machine, and XP on the virtual PC. I extremity to copy files from the host to the virtual PC,but it just doesn't work, neither by drag and throw over or copy and paste. Why is that? Does anyone have any idea what to do??

Go to XP (the virtual PC) - outstretched My Computer. You should have a shared partition to Vista. Find the file there, copy it and paste it to where you want it in the virtual PC's 'vigour'. (Mine is called Partition_1 on 'C:\', just to give you an idea.)

Well its not actually the same hard drive its in a virtual hard drive folder.

Operating Systems for Microsoft Virtual PC?

I have well-founded downloaded Microsoft Virtual PC 2007. When I was installing it I had a message. It said:
"You are not running on a supported operating system. Please see Microsoft Virtual PC pinch for the list of supported host operating systems. Virtual PC might run on other operating systems, but these configurations will not be supported by Microsoft Offshoot Support Services."
I have Windows Vista, but will the program run OK on it?
