Can I have a domain (like www.domain.com) point to a folder on my web server, like (www.server.com/domain)?

I'd like to run another website on my web server. I demand to use at least two unique domains. Basically, if someone enters the new domain, say domain.com, it's really accessing a folder on my server (say server.com/domain/, but the url looks like the operator is on the domain.com website. I don't have web hosting software that manages multiple accounts like a professional reseller web MC. Is there something I setup with the domain name company, and use like a "virtual host" or something like that?
It depends on what you're referring to when you say "my server".
Are we talking about a medico machine at your location? If so, then a specific answer will depend on the software. If Apache, then you'll indigence to learn the directives and look at the files in the "conf" directory.
If we're talking about a web hosting account, then if you have cPanel, you'll hankering to look at the Add-on Domain and possibly Parked Domain features.

I have a web New Zealand pub account that has been in use for a while, recently I asked my provider to add 30 new domains to this webhotel as virtual hosts, which they say they have done. However when I look in the web inn using SmartFTP I see no folders listed for each new domain which on previous occassions times when they have set up virtual pack I have done. They say I need to create an index file in my www file to tell each page where to look. This however is beyond my schooling - could somebody be so kind as to tell me how to make this index, or whether I should go back to them!
Thanks in advance
I'd go back to them and ask them what has changed since the last once in a while. Obviously you didn't have a problem before ?
