Do you only change info on the domain side when you change your hosting company?

I changed my hosting company from yahoo shared hosting to godaddy Virtual dedicated hosting.. everything seems to be set and i downgraded my hosting at yahoo to only dominion and changed the A address to point to the new ip of my site.
do i need to do anything else on the godaddy side for it to work? or i honest have to wait for the time being?
Unless you have email or other services still at yahoo you should swop the Nameservers to GoDaddy's.
Anyway as long as your Virtual Dedicated hosting account has your domain listed it'll trade. It can take some time for it to get set-up thought the internet.

How do I make a VPS hosting company on a Debian Server?

I would like to create a VPS hosting company, like BODHOST's VPS'es and others. Basically just order a VPS and I can give a virtual machine to you and allocate resources. What server software would do the same on Debian linux?
Checkout xen.org. Xen is a virtualization substance and tools that enable your server to run virtual machines. Follow the instructions and you'll be up and running in no metre.

what is the difference between virtual and dedicated servers?

i have started my new profession of domain name registration and hosting as a reseller. i went to google.com and searched for hosting companies but every hosting company have two types of hosting virtual and dedicated. what is haler for me and why?
It depends what you assume your traffic to be.
A virtual server is individual server space on a shared box, but it appears like it's your own server. There could be hundreds of websites hosted on that server.
A dedicated server is a set aside box for you.
